Yesterday the Parrot project announced that they had reached a very important milestone - the release of Parrot 1.0!
Parrot is a virtual machine aimed at running all dynamic languages, which grew out of the Perl 6 project. As well as Perl 6, Parrot also supports Tcl, Javascript, Ruby, Lua, Scheme, PHP, and Python, in various states of completion. You can find out more about Parrot on their website.
